Which automakers are really on the side of the environment (if any), are they doing everything they can to push new technology or are they just stalling?

I think the automakers will always be on the side of the all mighty dollar regardless of whether it's hybrid, regular or whatever. Car makers are in it to make money and they'll do whatever it takes to protect the bottom line.
