Manual or Automatic?

What do you guys prefer for a car, manual transmission or automatic transmission? Some would prefer manual for ease and comfort. I would prefer manual for power. What about you?

I would prefer manual. That's what I have first learned to drive. On the other hand, automatic transmission sucks because you'll get passed by other cars!

I prefer manual, I am having a hard time shifting.

Flat out I have little enough focus as it is to have to try and shift while chewing gum and watching the road. So it is automatic all the way for me.

We have 2 cars, one of each. I like the manual for the winter~ it is easier to control. Other than that, I'd choose automatic.

I haven't had a manual in years, it was kind of fun for a while but some extra work. My husband flat out refuses to learn to drive with a manual, he doesn't want to have to shift gears, so all we've had since we've been married are automatics.

My husband tried to teach my 16 yr old to drive our manual jeep. He did so bad that he broke the brake line! I told him to stick with the automatic.

Manual for me I dont like automatics as I dont feel in full control of the car.

It's a manual for me. I like being able to control the engine speed and decide when I want to shift gears. It's also easier to shift into neutral and coast when I want to save some gas.

i would prefer manual transmission. it is more comfortable to use and i think that automatic cars are really hard to repair if it will have a problem. when i bought my APV, i really wanted it to be manual. although i like the other colors of it, i still chose the white one because it is the only manual.
