Default Are you taking a vacation this summer?

With all the talk about high gas prices and vacationing close to home....is anyone taking a vacation this summer away from home?

I'm hoping to spend a couple days in Niagara Falls, which is just about an hour and a half drive from where we live.

I am trying to avoid car trips these days, though.

I would love to go to the falls this year. I have no plans as of now. I dont' want the hassel of crossing the boarder.

Moneys is tight here too. I am taking my daughter to the zoo for a day and then we will probably go to the lake when we have free time.

why not? well, i don't usually spend my time with my family and i think that we really need to have a summer vacation. sometimes you won't think about how hard money is just for your family. and we only have one summer in a year.

I'm not taking a vacation this summer because I'm taking the family to Disneyland in California in December. Hopefully, gasoline prices will come down below the $4 mark by then. My wife is a pro at finding us great deals, including hotels and where to eat to keep expenses down.
