What are some fun things to do in your area?

With gas prices being so high--- do you know all the fun things you can do in your area? Are there many?
We have 2 state parks- with hiking, swimming, bike trails, picnic areas, and camping.

We also have 2 amusement parks.
We have 2 drive-ins.
Tons of lakes with rentals-
There are a lot of fun things to do in my area.

We live in AZ so we have water parks galore and the Grand Canyon not to far and river tours-museums- science centers-zoos -BMX racing courses-indoor racetracks-hiking trails by the hundreds+ and the list goes on. There is tons to do but a lot depends on the whether.

Right close to our home there is a state park also. They have 2 beaches, hiking, rental boats and rental bikes. You can also play volleyball or basketball there.

There is also a drive-in in our town. We also have lots of putt-putt.

We are close to Chautauqua Lake and Chautauqua Institution which is where there are concerts all summer.

Soon Chautauqua Idol starts~ this is every Monday night up at the Lake. It is just like American Idol, but with the locals here singing. they have the 3 judges and all. It is a huge event here.
