Default Vacationing close to home

Anyone changing their vacation plans and sticking close to home because of the gas prices?

If you look in your own area, I bet you can find some great things to do for your vacation.

We're opting to stay close to home. It is too costly to go anywhere right now with the prices of everything on the rise.

I agree that if you look hard enough you can find lots to do locally in most places and we may give that a shot or just invest in a lot of movies and hit a lot of the water parks in place of our previously planned vacation.

It's funny how we take different vacationing areas for granted that are right in our back yard We have a state park, a local beach, an amusement park all within a 30 minute drive.

Yes us too writers block---- But we do these things a lot- on weekends. I think we will probably head to PA to camp this year as well- but we aren't going any farther than that!

We aren't going far this summer either. I think we have almost the whole summer planned and the farthest we are going is about 1 hour drive.

It's time to teach the kids to appreciate what is in their own town.
