Default Wind Farm

A few weeks ago, oil billionaire T. Boone Pickens announced his plans to build one of the largest wind farms in the United States in the Texas panhandle. Once completed, the turbines will produce between 2000 to 4000 megawatts of electricity. This part of the United States has enough consistent wind where I think the plan will work.

Wow,that a great news. I wish his plan would work and US citizens would get sufficient power. I think government should promote such plans.

Such like solar energy, such good environmentally friendly methods have to gain a critical mass before they go mainstream. Let us hope the wait would not be too long.

I’m hoping that someday, someone would develop something like that in our country and thus cut off the price of energy. The price is too high. They aren’t reverts it back to the original price if the other countries has reverted their price.

Pickens hopes to get the project started in 2010. The pricetag will be about $6 billion. Since our politicians aren't providing any leadership in getting the United States off oil, let's see how a business man does.

This is really a great news. That should minimize the use of diesel power plant which also is one of the problems of global warming.

The location of this particular place in Texas is very good for the project. This project can be very great in minimizing the use of diesel fuel for energy generation thus minimizing the smoke emission.

Also, this is a great contribution to the environment problems that we are facing right now.

I saw an episode on Discovey Channel about wind farms and it looks very nice, very peaceful and very effective. Yet, there are only less spots in the world that we can harness constant wind power.
