Default Geothermal energy

Has anyone heard of it? It uses heat of earth to produce enrgy. Wind energy and tidal energy are location dependent but i think geothermal energy should be independent of location. Is it true?

I think this is very possible but the location of the energy can be a cause of contention. For example, Yellowstone National Park has lots of energy underneath but there's no way people will allow technology to impinge on the beauty of the park and rightfully so. However, I think there are other prime sources of geothermal energy available, but it's just a matter of finding it.

I think that it is the most common form source of energy because you can have it wherever you are positioned in the world. This kind of energy is also the most dangerous because if not handled carefully, you will have some meltdown.
