Arrow Biofuel Great Stats...

Great Stats!

Economic Assessment of Biofuel Support Policies, estimates that in the US, Canada and the European Union, government support for the supply and use of biofuels will rise to around US$25 billion per year by 2015 from about US$11 billion in 2006.

Interesting, there is certainly a big gap betwenn the conventional cars to hybrids in favor of the conventional cars but its up to the buyer or future owners of cars to decide for themselves for their future vehicle.

Not only the car users have a say in the direction of development, fund managers also have tremendous power by investing or not investing in the biofuel or alternative technolgy sectors.

My fear with biofuels is because the source is food products, what happens when there is either a natural disaster, like in Iowa, or a bad crop season? I'd be afraid that speculators would drive up the prices and we'd be no better off than we are now with oil.

The world would not depend fully on biofuels, we are required to keep alternate options too. The availability of biofuel depends on natural factors, so we need to have proper provision to face such circumstances otherwise the situation would turn worse than present.

Well, I would not classify this as stat but just another additional budget for the "green" project.

This is a good news. Hope that these wealthy governments will adhere and stick to this plan. This would mean less pollution and great environment for all of us.
