You should close your windows in order to avoid the wind to slow your ride down.

I also agree on this. For the new drivers, we should always keep in mind that proper inflation of tires affects greatly in the performance of the car.

Sort of. This bit of urban "wisdom" was tested twice on the TV show Mythbusters. What they found was that it isn't black-or-white, but a question of speed. Go less than 50mph, and it's perfectly efficient to leave your windows down, because the drag is not that great; but once you hit about 50mph the drag becomes greater and hurts fuel economy.

Really an excellent list you have there.

Maybe you could add a better air filter for better gas mileage.

I guess the heading of "maintain your ride" would include rotating and balancing your wheels?

I think I've heard that plays a part in mileage, too.

I dont have any to add but I am adding these to my checklist of things to watch for. I always forget to change and fill my tires and I get the oil change later than I actually should, usually whenever my dad or brothers can get to it.

That is a great list. I would add stay at the speed limit~ which goes along with your slow down.
