Post Hybrid Engine Types

What are the different kinds of hybrid engine types. When these cars run on the streets, I don't know which one's which.

Default Hybrid-electric petroleum engine

This type of hybrid engine is powered by alternative fuel and electric motor. These sources of power are being used separately. What's good about this is that when ICE (internal combustion engine) is used, the battery is being recharged thus giving additional power to the motor for future use.

In addition, There are many types of petroleum-electric hybrid drivetrains, from Full hybrid to Mild hybrid, which offer varying advantages and disadvantages.

One I can think about is the Dual MOde Hybrid System. These flexible-fuel vehicles can use a mixture of input fuels (petroleum and biofuels) in one tank — typically gasoline and bioethanol or biobutanol, though diesel-biodiesel vehicles can also be classified into this one.

Cool But there are exemptions...

Dual mode:Liquified petroleum gas and natural gas are very different from petroleum or diesel and cannot be used in the same tanks, so it would be impossible to build an (LPG or NG) flexible fuel system. Instead vehicles are built with two, parallel, fuel systems feeding one engine. While the duplicated tanks cost space in some applications, the increased range and flexibilty where (LPG or NG) infrastructure is incomplete may be a significant incentive to purchase.
