I’m not hearing anything about a Hybrid taxis has been pushed by the local governments in the Philippines. Personally I doubt that we are going to have a hybrid taxis soon because our economy is down right now.

I think the idea of hybrid taxis would take a long time to be fully implemented. It may fail at some places where the government cant afford it. But it would be good from the prespective of passengers.

It will be probably up to governments to formulate environmentally friendly public transpoirt policy; most cab passengers wouldn't care what kind of vehicle so as the taxi takes him from point A to B.

Good to hear words fro the Philippines. Lots of innovative people in there. I have encountered a news way back about 7 years ago that a Filipino invented a hydrogen car. That's it! no news later that time. Lots of taxis aren't hybrids in there, they use LPG. I read it on Yahoo!
