Do you see alot of hybrid cars driving around your town?

Which are the most popular?

I see many Toyota Prius hybrids.

I have also seen plenty of ford escape hybrids as well. As far as the luxury hybrids, I have not seen too many.

There is one in my townhouse court but I do see a lot of the Prius out on the highways. My son's friend drives his parent's Insight and seems to enjoy it.

I finally saw a SmartCar. My God it is tiny!!! I would not want to get hit in one of those. I think you give up a lot for 44mpg. You could by a Jetta diesel and get that kind of mpg and have a much bigger car.

I have noticed a lot of Ford Escape hybrids lately, and a fair number of Priuses. I can't say I've noticed others.

There is someone who drives a smart car down my street every day. I was thining that I might go and test drive one.

There are about $14K base price and get 41mpg. But, would you fit in it? They seem so damned small. I think I'd buy a used Jetta Diesel and get the same or better mileage plus a tad more room.

I have about an 8 mile drive from my girlfriend's home back to mine. Mostly small city roads (we are both on opposite fringes of the county). Anyway, I counted three Priuses coming home this evening. I seem to be seeing them everywhere now

Not at all, especially not out here in the suburbs. In the city there are some more, but the number still could be better.
