Do they actually plug in?

Do you think if the car sits for along period of time without being turned on, it will still charge up?
Or can it go dead if not used all the time?

I have a car that I drive about one a week....would this make a difference?

Does the alternator do any of the charging for the hybrid car like it does for the car battery in a regular car?
I can't imagine that just the friction from going down hills would be enough, I don't live in a hilly town.
