Default Family Vehicle?

The only hybrids I've seen are small two-door vehicles. Is there a family-friendly hybrid on the market? I've got two babies (well, one on the way), which means car-seats, strollers, diaper bags, etc. And that's not even including beach gear. I want to be environment-friendly, but realistically-speaking, I have to fit my whole family in my car!

Ford escape, lexus suv hybrid, and the tahoe hybrid are the ones that I can think of. The Escape is the cheapest of them.

Thanks, that's good info. Would make me feel not-so-bad about being an SUV-driving environmentalist.

Yes, the Ford Escape Hybrid would be the best for you. Compared to Saturn Mercury, Lexus and Toyota SUV Hybrids, the Escape came out to be the best in economy and environment friendly. Just telling the truth.

I have read that it only costs 0.74 gallons of fuel to drive this car for 25 miles compared to more than 0.86 gallons of the other similar SUV's.

In addition, its 15 gallon full tank could run for 459 miles compared to only 400 to 420 miles of other models. Too much to brag this car to anyone.

I think the Mercury Mariner Hybrid is still in shape on this competition.

This is a good choice for a larger hybrid, but I have never really been a fan of Mercury cars.

I do know the Camry is now available as a hybrid. Does anyone have any info about it? Sizewise it's not bad as a family car.
