In Iceland, they use hydrogen fueled buses because gas is too expensive there. It's 8 dollars a gallon now.
The only thing that bus pushes out through its exhaust pipe is water vapor! I can hardly imagine standing behind a bus and not getting a wave of gas puffed at me and choking for a few minutes afterwards. They say that the bus can work there because the country is so small that experiments like that can be tried out. The whole country is willing to try experimental fuel cars so that the world can learn something. The whole top of the bus holds the hydrogen fuel and so far, it has been very safe. At least one experiment can be used well. |
