Default Oil from anything

A Georgia company is teaming up with the US Department of Defense to create 7 test sites in an attempt to turn anything into oil. The company owner believes that if efforts are successful, within two years, about 500,000 barrels of oil a day could be generated.

WOW! if that would be the case then oil prices would surely deflate. I hope it would be a success but still, what are the disadvantages? I do think there are advantages considering that "OIL" is concerned.

That would be very good if it will be released to public cars in the future.

Two years in the overall scheme of things is a short time to see if this will work. Like JamAce asked, what are the disadvantages? This is certainly new technology and there will definitely be some bugs. But just to stick it to the Middle East and Venezuela, I hope this really works so they can choke on their own oil.

With that number of barrels a day, there can be a blow down of the prices of gas. Also, there can be many models of car engines that can be invented or modified to fit the kind of fuel. Maybe hybrids can also adapt to the fuel that they want to mass produce.

This is a great one. Everywhere in the world, people are looking for every kind of alternative fuel. May it be from plants, wastes, etc.

Hope this project comes out well...

With the discovery of this kind of bacteria, even the raw process of converting the wastes into fuel is very "green". They are using naturally growing bacteria to make tons of fuel everyday.

What a discovery...
