People are buying Motorcycles not just by the cost of fuel but to avoid those Nerve-wracking traffic jams. And being late for your work deducts money from your salary making cars look bad.

That totally right. Motorcycles really are budget friendly.

The benefits of having a motorcycle in a traffic jam vary from state to state. In Utah, you cannot drive between stopped cars. In California, motorcycles can zip ahead of stopped cars and make it in and out of traffic jams.

You are right on this, in many countries like in Asia, there are no limits or regulations that regulates the motorcycles to run in between cars in the traffic jams. There are even some cities that allow them not to wear helmets during travels.

One of our local tv stations did a report which showed a huge increase in the number of scooters and motorcycles being sold because of higher gas prices. One would suspect with more riders, there would be more accidents, but this has not been true.

ksl.com - Number of motorcycle riders surges, fatalities don't

Car is way beyond what you will spend ifyou have a motorcycle. Just think about the maintenance, the fuel and the long years that you will deal with that.

Motorcycle = less budget needed

Car =expensive fuel and maintenance.

The one main benefit that a car has over a motorcycle is that it can be driven in the snow. That's one thing I really dislike about where I live. I cannot ride my motorcycle for three months out of the year because of snow.

Motorcycles do also have disadvantages, unlike Cars who could fit in 4 or more people. Loads are also a big disadvantage on motorcycles. Depending on your lifestyle, you should weigh the pros and cons of both.

Funny you should mention the issue of number of people on a motorcycle, JamAce. In a video related to the Olympics, the camera man showed 4 people crammed on to a scooter going through traffic.

In Southeast Asia, motorcycles have been the chief means of transportation by people. The cost is cheap as well as the mobility and the gas mileage it can have.
