Default Will hybrids be the cars of the future

As they become more and more popular, do you think that you will see more and more hybrids and less and less regular vehicles?

I think we'll continue to see more hybrids until someone breaks through and makes an economical all electric vehicle and then doesn't try to crush it ala ev1.

I'm all for the hybrid as a stop gap measure, or bridge between gasoline vehicles and all electric or alternative energy cars.

I think it's going to be fuel cell eventually. Possible a mixture of fuel cell and all-electric. Hybrids seem like an interim process to get to whatever we settle on.

I sure hope we see more and more of them as time goes on. Going off the advances in technology up to this point I am wondering what the next innovative idea they come up with will be.

I posted anther thread about this. I think hybrids are like laserdisc players, and within 10 years will be replaced by fully electric cars the way DVDs took over.
