anyone know any pure electric cars out there?

I thought that I read somewhere that there is a car that totally runs on electric. I tried to search it for you , but couldn't find the info. I'll let you know if I find it.

I too read something about this- you just take it home and plug it in-- then it's recharged in the morning and ready to go- I'm not sure if it was a movie or what I saw it on,

I've heard of electric vehicle but not really a car. If i rrmember it correctly it was a utility truck. The speed and length of travel is very limited though. I think I've seen that in some Japanese channel in cable.

I saw an electric car at the Vancouver Airport. It's not really a car in body but it can carry two people in the airport's security. The back plate is marked chrysler and jeep. I think that is the make of it.

There is no electric car out there that's in consistent use and available for purchase. What's out there are concept cars and non-street-ready vehicles (carts, etc.).

I checked into this and the thing I was thinking about is more like a golf cart. Not street legal.

What about the cars at Tesla Motors? Those have moved from concept cars into production and they claim to be 100% electric ...

Of course you have to be Jay Leno or a billionaire to own one of these. They're charging ridiculous amounts of money for them. But, in some way, that might not be a bad marketing idea. Get them into the hands of the rich and famous for an incredible amount of money that you can then turn around and put back into the company ... hopefully they'll eventually make some of these vehicles for us more common folk ...

Yup; see my avatar. They're in production, but on a "built to order" basis. Though I understand that they intend to open their first dealership in LA or Hollywood next year.
