Default hybrid tugboats

General Electric and the C-MAR Group recently announced plans to work together on the development of hybrid engine technologies for tugboats, in an effort to offer lower costs for customers and while lowering carbon emissions. The tugboat platform builds on current hybrid technology projects for locomotives, city buses and off-highway vehicles. These hybrid technologies are all part of GE’s ecomagination initiative. Ecomagination represents the company’s commitment to develop new environmentally friendly technologies and products to solve our toughest environmental challenges.
I think its an admirable step by GE. what are your views?

At least General Motors is thinking about the environment and not their own pockets. This is also a great help for the people tolower the fares as well as the lower gas emissions from the engines.

This project is very useful for the control of CO2 emissions as well as giving the right fare for the commuters of the boats..

This company has been around for decades and I think they can pursue it. This project is very useful.
