Default How reliable are hybrid cars and the technology

Ok, so what should someone be concerned about when owning a hybrid car? What type of maintenance is involved with a hybrid.

I think the maintenance is the same in the exterior. (paint, windshields, lights, etc.) But inside the hood, I think not! Price should vary.

The maintenance of hybrids I think is mainly the same as the common cars, battery check, tune-ups etc.

I think, just like most technologies, the first generation of mass produced vehicles will have their share of problems. The public will end up "beta testing" them and the companies will fix the problems and release version 2. It's been that way for conventional vehicles for decades.

yeah i agree with you, maintaining a hybrid does not cost any more than a conventional car. As tongyun said, very soon, we can have hybrids with all the problems fixed.
