How long do you think our "gas economy" will persist? We're in the baby steps of getting out of it now. How long will it take?
I think it will take at least a generation. After all, the gas economy has spent 100 years imposing itself on our lives; thinking that we can get rid of it in anything less than 20 years (or even 50 years) is idealism.
