Techies verus marketing folks in public forums
A Chevy engineer was on the Todd Scnitt show this week. He is part of the Volt team. This guy was definitely not part of marketing or pr machines but his passion for the vehicle was palpable. I think the manufacturers have to do more of this sort of thing. Put the tech guys out there on the talk shows, etc. We all know the rah-rah routine of the marketing folks. The tech guys/gals provide really fascinating info and I think they can generate more excitement than the marketing folks.
